Up until now it has been almost impossible to watch a video on a website unless if it was on YouTube then you would be pulled from your app and taken to the YouTube app on your device. Now Skyfire 2.0 brings flash to your iPhone. Skyfire 2.0 is a web browser which recognizes if the website opened has an embedded flash movie or not then it sends the movie to their server and converts it to HTML 5 which is a format natively supported on iOS devices. The result is quick high quality video streaming on your device. Skyfire 2.0 will play almost every flash player movie on a website.
The best thing about this app is that you don’t have to be jailbroken to get it. It can be purchased at the Appstore for $2.99. The app is so well designed and built im actually considering using it as my main web browser on my device. It offers all the features that safari offers plus the feature of being able to play flash videos on your device.
Other Features include:
- Private Browsing
- Social Sharing on Facebook and Twitter
- Multi-Tab Browsing
UPDATE1:Skyfire 2.0 is currently sold out from the appstore but you can still get it from installous 😉
UPDATE2:Skyfire 2.0 is back on the Appstore 🙂
