*Sigh* seems like the most awaited game since MGS4 has been delayed to 2012( at least according to rumors. The announcement of the game was made in 2009, and was based on the character ‘Raiden’ from MGS2 to MGS4 series.
Kotaku has been told that Metal Gear Solid: Rising will miss 2011, and will instead hit in 2012. The multiplatform game trades the “Tactical Espionage Action” of the traditional Metal Gear Solid series for “Lighting Bolt Action”. Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima is involved in the project, but merely as the game’s executive producer and not as the title’s writer or designer.
However this is not a big surprise as long waits for Metal Gear Solid games are not uncommon. Metal Gear Solid 4 was first shown at the 2005 Tokyo Game Show and wasn’t released until June 2008.
I myself am a big fan of Metal Gear Solid, having played all the games at one point in my life, and owning a copy of the third and fourth parts, I really hope this one won’t be a disappointment. However I’m a bit disappointed at the fact Konami decided to make it Mutiplatform unlike their previous releases which was only limited for the Playstation.
