iOS 4.3 beta 1 now available and iTouch 2G and iPhone 3G discontinued

Seems like the new iOS is coming out soon, the first beta version has been released today, and these are the updates so far:

  • Supports the Personal Hotspot feature which the Verizon has on their CDMA iPhone
  • Pinch to the Home Screen.
  • Swipe up to reveal multitasking bar.
  • Swipe left or right between apps.
  • iPad 4.3 beta 1 software also has a new “Lock Rotation”
  • iOS 4.3 also has a new FaceTime icon and AirPlay support for native applications and websites.

However you will need to be a developer to get the beta iOS

If you’d like to become a developer, you can sign up at the iOS Developer center.

As you can see this version doesn’t come for the iPod Touch 2G, and iPhone 3G and no more future updates will, this is really sad news to me as i own a 2G touch :(, time to sell it and get 4G.
